Si no me creéis: www.nationaluglychristmassweaterday.org
No sé qué pensar.

I recently read an article in Mashable entitled 'The ugly Christmas sweater business is worth millions' . It seems that, since 2011, there is a National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day in the U.S. which is celebrated on a Friday of December -12th this year-. If you can’t believe me: www.nationaluglychristmassweaterday.org
It is a trendy idea and there are even ugly sweaters parties. It is OK, each one can have fun in the chosen way and I even find it funny and that it is one of the few products which don't deshumanize women for advertising it. What shocks me the most is that consumist frenzy never stops and the sales and prices of this garment are wildly increasing and there is who even pays more than $120 for an ugly and Christmas sweater which will only use a couple of days. If we lack of imagination and want to do a cheaper one, we can spend $30 in a kit to customize the sweater. If last year 35,000 units were sold, this year they have sold more than 400,000 kits, according to the company which created it.
And the hottest one is this sweater with a phone pouch (watch the video above). We download the app and we have a flickering fire log. The author claims to be a former NASA scientist who left his job to work on his bizarre sweaters with app.
Is there a limit for human foolishness? Should I stop worring about it and try to earn money knitting ugly Christmas swaters to sell them on eBay? I don’t know what to think. I just want this trend not to colonise us.
La tonteria humana es algo mui complexo . El marketing piensa por los tontos
